Located on the coast,

Further inland, it contains spots which are typical of the Axarquia
region, such as the adjacent district of Benagalbon, and the town
is also home to interesting monuments such as Bezmiliana Castle,
named after the first settlement to be founded in the AREA.
Without doubt, a must for the visitor is Cueva del Higueron cave,
also known as Cueva del Tesoro, in La Cala del Moral, a fine example
of a marine cave formation.
